African vernacular architecture has for many years have had negative perceptions attached to it. That it is architecture which is sub standard, temporary or for the poor. Due to the lack of information available, these myths continue. This is far from the truth. This network intends to show the beauty of this disappearing part of culture. Vernacular architecture should not be ignored but should be celebrated.
